Prizes and Eligibility

There will be a side-match this year, all competitors, judges, vendors, and guests 21 years of age or older are eligible. Prize awarded to top shooter in the side-match.

There will be plaques and prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individual, 2-man team and 4-man team. We will also have a nice array of raffle prizes, thanks to our many vendors and sponsors.

Competition for prizes and trophies is limited to FULL-TIME Sworn Officers. Auxiliary and Part-Time Officers are eligible to compete as individuals only.

AggDefSol and C2 Shooting Center are proud to present the “Second Saturday Series” of pistol matches! In an effort to make “action shooting competitions” a little more accessible to shooters in the Tidewater area we have decided to team up and offer a series of matches as an alternative to what is already being offered.

Match Overview

Our matches will run much like the USPSA/IDPA/IPSC matches that most people are used to but there are some serious differences:

• You do not need to be a club or organization member.
• You do not need specialized equipment.
• You do not need a pre-approved security clearance to attend.
• You do not need to be intimidated by pro and semi-pro shooters!

All shooters of ALL skill levels are welcome and encouraged to take part. This is a good way to “get your feet wet” for action shooting sports without shelling out a great deal of money. Additionally, we run a quick paced range so you won’t be here all day, unless you want to..

There are no points or advantages for calibers / power-factors in our matches. Shoot what you want to as long as it is a safe serviceable handgun. Bring you favorite .22 LR, .500 S&W or anything in between. All stages are single-stack neutral so 32 rd magazines are allowed!

There are two classes of shooters in this series:

Tactical

• shooters that carry guns for a living (cops, military, etc)
• Master Class IPSC/USPSA/IDPA or equivalent.

Non-Tactical

• Shooters that do not carry guns for a living
  Any serviceable equipment may be utilized on course, i.e. holsters, magazine pouches, speed loaders, etc.

The staff of AggDefSol and C2 will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice and encouragement.

During the course students will practice each of the physical actions necessary for accurate marksmanship and upon completion of the course will have demonstrated safe and competent weapon craft.

Primary material and theories covered during the class includes:

• Safety Concerns,
• Combative Mindset
• Employment of a handgun ±Post Shooting Procedures
• Nomenclature
• Operation of the Weapon System
• Maintenance of the Weapon
• Fundamentals of Marksmanship
• The draw
• Ready Positions
• Reloading Procedures
• Immediate Actions
• Management of Cover/ Concealment/ Barricades

The students will have fired over 300 rounds of live ammunition through various drills as well as a scored Qualification Course as a requirement to pass this course.

This is a closed course and range re-certification for  the VBCAO. If you work for a Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and would like to participate please contact us.

Join the VBPD Shooting Team for their 15th annual shooting competition on April 24th, 2010. Aggressive Defensive Solutions is joined once again by Glock and Blackhawk as corporate sponsors of this law enforcement only competition.

This year’s competition is restricted to full time law enforcement officers. The courses of fire will consist of several challenging lanes designed to test your ability to react quickly and accurately under stress.  All competitors will be required to use their duty weapon and duty rig.

Dozens of prizes to the top individuals  and teams and to sweeten the deal top individual shooter wins a handgun from  Glock.
